Individual Learning Plan development steams ahead
Development of Shireland Learning's Individual Learning Plan application is gathering pace as development partners Derventio move into the second phase of functionality development in readiness for the new school year in September. Already at the end of the last school year, Derventio had provided Shireland Learning and the schools on the Shireland Learning Gateway a fully functional and easy to use ILP, which allows students and teachers to collaborate on targets and gather evidence in an electronic portfolio.
In September, the company will install the latest version of the software, adding features including the following:
- A publishable CV page for each student
- Customisation of goals with supporting documents and links
- An MIS import facility to allow data such as attendance to be added to students' goal areas
- Improved communication between mentors and students, including goal reminders
